Obituary for Anna S. Hoffman (Smith)

Anna S. Hoffman, 95, passed away on Tuesday, April 18, 2017 in the Laurel Center, Hamburg, PA. She was the wife of Joseph A. Hoffman, who died June 22, 2011.
Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late James and Mabel (Chorely) Smith. Anna was a graduate of Cheltenham High School and Pierce Junior College. She first worked as an executive secretary for Rohm and Haas, Philadelphia; and then worked for twenty years at the Abington Library, until her retirement. Anna was a member of Abington Baptist Church.
Anna was able to stay at home and raise her family. She enjoyed gardening and reading and loved going to their beach house in Ocean City, New Jersey.
Anna is survived by one daughter: JoAnn H. (Hoffman), wife of Robert G. Stockholm, Bethel, PA; three grandsons: Tyler Stockholm, and his wife Ashley; Seth Stockholm; and his wife Jackie; and Adam Stockholm, companion of Sarah Vadenberg; and five great-grandchildren: Olivia, Wesley, Liam, Judah, and Hadassah. She was predeceased by a son: William J. Hoffman.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, May 13, 2017 at 2:00 pm from Abington Baptist Church, 1501 Huntingdon Road, Abington, PA 19001. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Alzheimer's Association, 399 Market Street, Suite 102, Philadelphia, PA 19106.
