Jean M. Snyder, 88, of Leesport, passed away on Saturday, April 22, 2017 in the Laurel Center, Tilden Twp. She was the wife of Richard W. Snyder. They were married on August 25, 1951 and celebrated sixty-five years of marriage.
Born in Berne, Tilden Twp., she was the daughter of the late James and Mayme (Leibensperger) Graham. She worked at Diener's Knitting Mill, Leesport. Jean was a member of Trinity United Church Christ, Leesport. She was also a member of Ladies Auxiliary of the Shoemakersville Fire Company. Jean enjoyed traveling with her husband, walking, and baseball. She also enjoyed collecting baskets and miniature musical pianos.
Surviving in addition to her husband is one son: Randy S. Snyder, and his companion Cathy Hartline, Boyertown; and two grandsons: Richard P. Snyder and Kenneth A. Snyder. Jean was predeceased by her siblings: James and Harrison Graham; Josephine Brossman; Loretta Graham; and Helen Kirkhoff.
Services will be held on Thursday at 11:00 am from Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 223 Peach Street, Leesport. Burial will be in Leesport Cemetery.
