Obituary for Barry N. Weidner

Barry M. Weidner, 67, of Ontelaunee Twp., passed away on Friday, June 16, 2017 in his residence with his family by his side. He was the husband of Nancy E. (Gilmer) Weidner. They were married on February 14, 2004 and celebrated thirteen years of marriage.
Born in West Reading, he was the son of the late John and Ruth (Burke) Weidner. Barry was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War and was a Purple Heart recipient. He worked for thirty years for Windsor Service, Reading. Barry was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church, Laureldale. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and raising his chickens and pigeons. Barry was also a member of Loyal Order of Moose #523, Hamburg; and Wagner-Good Post #216 V.F.W., Hamburg.
Surviving in addition to his wife is one son: Steven M. Weidner, in Florida; step-daughter: Heather M. Harner, friend of Donna C. Beasley, Ontelaunee Twp.; and one granddaughter: Steevi Weidner. Barry is also survived by his twin brother: Anthony L. Weidner, Blandon; and one daughter-in-law: Jennifer Weidner. He will be missed by his faithful companion: Addi.
According to Barry's wishes, services will be at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Animal Rescue League, P.O.
