Obituary for Claude S. Miller

Claude S.  Miller
Claude S. "Porkie" Miller, 94, formerly of Mohrsville, died Wednesday, June 28, 2017 in The Gardens at Stevens, Lancaster County. He was the husband of Grace I. (Bechtel) Miller. They were married April 15, 1950 and celebrated 67 years of marriage.
Born in Temple, he was the son of the late Clayton J. and Ella M. (Smith) Miller. He was a member of Salem (Belleman's) Church, Centre Twp. He was a US Army veteran of WWII serving with the 27th Engineers. Claude worked as a bottle washer for Keyston-St. Lawrence Dairy, now known as Clover Farms, for 33 years retiring in 1986. He was an avid golfer and bowler. He enjoyed many sports. Claude was a member of Goodwill Fire Company and Shoemakersville Fire Company, and formerly was a member of the Bowlarama Travelers.
Surviving in addition to his wife is a son: Craig A. husband of Patti V. (Putt) Miller, Ephrata; three grandchildren: Ryan, Kerri, and David; and six great-grandchildren: Chloe, Connor, Mackenzie, Wyatt, Addison, and Rylee. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by three brothers: Harry, Paul and Donald; and a sister: Maizie.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, July 8, 2017 at 11:00 am from Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 223 Peach Street Leesport, PA 19533. A visitation will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 am in the funeral home.
