Condolences

Condolence From: Daryl & Marcella Shadle
Condolence: Our deepest sympathy to the Straus family on the loss of Norman.
I so enjoyed the time spent with Mike (my best friend), his sisters and his parents growing up in Fairview Heights. I hold so many fond memories of Mr. Straus; those wonderful trips to Red Point Beach (the "Bungalow")...winning the grand prize of a brand new Plymouth ('59?) in Kutztown...constructing our "built-to-last" concrete block garage on Center Rd...helping my dad refurbish and reassemble a run-down chicken coop so us boys could have a clubhouse of our own in the woods (the "Shack"). The list goes on...but my most cherished memory is the kind and hospitable manner in which Norman and Pauline always welcomed me into their home. Norman's life was, indeed, a life well lived, and I am thankful to have been a small part of it.
Again, our condolences on your loss.
