Obituary for Esther Reinsel
Esther Reinsel, 91, of Shoemakersville passed away Wednesday, August 9, 2017 in The Laurel Center, Tilden Twp.
Born in Upper Tulpehocken Twp., she was the daughter of the late George C. and Sadie R. (Reichert) Reinsel. She graduated from Hamburg High School in 1945. Esther worked as payroll and personnel manager for Mayfair Industries, Inc., Shoemakersville for 46 years until her retirement in 1993. She was a member of St. Michael's Church, Tilden Twp. She was a former member of Hamburg Council No. 1 Ladies Association to the Order of Independent Americans, Shoemakersville Fire Co. Ladies Auxiliary, Women's Group at St. Michael's Church, and was a member of Virginville Grange since 1978. She was also a member of Shoemakersville Senior Citizens.
Esther is survived by her nieces and nephews: David and Richard Geschwindt, Anna (Reinsel) Miller, Linda (Reinsel) Bachman, Carl, Donald, and Brian Reinsel; and a sister-in-law: Arlene (Sweitzer) Reinsel. She was predeceased by a brother: Warren G. Reinsel; and five sisters: Emma (Reinsel) Dunkle, Elsie Reinsel, Mabel (Reinsel) Reinsel, Dorothy (Reinsel) Geschwindt, and Catherine Reinsel.
Services will be held Wednesday, August 16, 2017 at 11:00 am from St. Michael's Church, 529 St. Michael's Road, Hamburg, PA 19526. Burial will follow in St. Michael's Cemetery, Tilden Twp. A viewing will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 am in the church. Memorial contributions may be sent to: St. Michael's Church at the above address.
