Marion A.  Hannahoe (Smith)
Marion A. Hannahoe, 73, of Ontelaunee Twp., passed away on Wednesday, September 13, 2017 in her residence with her family by her side. She was the wife of Edward R. Hannahoe, Jr. They were married on August 19, 1961 and celebrated fifty-six years of marriage.
Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late Floyd and Mary (Thomas) Smith. Marion enjoyed gardening, bingo, going to the beach and baking. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
Surviving in addition to her husband are children: Steven E. Hannahoe, Kutztown; Stacey M. Hannahoe-Polley, wife of Michael Polley, Leesport; and Julie E. Hannahoe, Muhlenberg Twp. Marion is also survived by ten grandchildren: Justin Puntillo, Victoria Roeder, Jennifer Shutter, Olivia Polley, Chase Polley, Cecily Levan, Satine Levan, Gavin Levan, Anika Levan, and Alexis Diehm; five great-grandchildren: Dominic Puntillo, Annalyn Puntillo, Griffin Roeder, Gwenivere Roeder and Mia Shutter; and her cousin: Erma Wernicki, who was like an older sister to her. She was predeceased by a sister: Ann (Smith) Dunn.
The family would like to express the deepest appreciation to Pastor Nathanael Naugle and his wife Sonya for helping Marion on her journey to her Heavenly Father and for also helping the family cope. Also, a special thanks to Miss Brenda...our Angel.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday at 3:30 pm from Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 223 Peach Street, Leesport. A visitation with the family will be held in the funeral home Thursday 2:00 to 3:30 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Humane Society of Berks County, 1801 N. 11th Street, Reading, PA 19604.
