Obituary for Elsie Rose Heydt

Elsie Rose Heydt, 93, formerly of Shoemakersville, died Thursday February 23, 2017 in Berks Heim. She was the wife of George C. Heydt, died December 20, 1983.
Born in Bernville, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Annie (Oxenreider) Rhine. She was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ, Leesport. She worked at the former Acme Paper Box Company, Shoemakersville; Ames, Hamburg in the Craft Department and last worked at different garment factories in the area as a folder/examiner. She was a member of the Shoemakersville Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary, and she enjoyed flea markets, country western music, and reading.
She is survived by two sons: Dennis G. husband of Lorraine (Adam) Heydt, Mohrsville, Lyn A. husband of Penny (Ciervo) Heydt, Leesport; a daughter: Donna E. (Heydt) wife of Jan C. Messersmith, Sinking Spring; three grandchildren, five step-grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, thirteen step-great grandchildren, five step-great-great-grandchildren, and one step-grandchild on the way! She was predeceased by a granddaughter, six brothers, and eight sisters.
Services will be held Tuesday, February 28, 2017 at 11:00 am from Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 223 Peach Street Leesport. Burial will follow in Leesport Cemetery. A viewing will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 am. For online condolences, www.leibenspergerfuneralhomes.com
