Obituary for Gary A. Berger

Gary A. Berger, 77, of Bethel, died Saturday, March 18, 2017 in Pocono VNA Hospice House, East Stroudsburg.
Born in Shartlesville, he was the son of the late Burton S. and Josephine R. (Megargell) Berger. He graduated from Hamburg High School in 1957. Gary worked as an electrician at DANA corporation for 30 years. He was a member of the NRA, and enjoyed mathematics, problem solving, and fixing things.
Gary is survived by three sons: James E. Berger, Golden CO, Jason Seifrit, Croydon, and Brandon Morrision, Duncannon; two daughters: Alison K. (Berger) Erlenburg, wife of Nicholas, Highlands Ranch, CO, and Keely A. Slifer, East Stroudsburg; six grandchildren: Jeremiah, Maggie, Gwynna, Caleb, Liam, and Oakley; and a sister: Diane Paxson, Strausstown. He was predeceased by two sons: John S. Berger and Gary R. Berger.
Services will be held Saturday, March 25, 2017 at 11:00 am from Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 65 S. 4th Street Hamburg, PA 19526. Burial will follow in Frieden’s Cemetery, Shartlesville.
