Obituary for Peter J. Klotunowitch

Peter J. Klotunowitch, Sr., 68, of Mohrsville, died Saturday, March 18, 2017 in Johns Hopkins University Hopsital, Baltimore. He was the wife of Faye F. (Fisher) Klotunowitch. They were married August 13, 1988 and celebrated 28 years of marriage.
Born in Pottsville, he was the son of the late Peter and Dorothy (Hughes) Klotunowitch. He graduated from Cass Township High School. Peter was a US Air Force veteran. He worked as a night shift supervisor at Hamburg Center for 25 years until his retirement in 2007. He was former president of AFSCME Local 746 and a delegate of council 88 where he aided in contractual negotiations for state employees. He was a member of Shoemakersville Fire Company, the Behler-Hein Post No. 637 American Legion Hamburg. and The Hamburg Family Center Moose Lodge No. 523.
Surviving in addition to his wife is five children: Matthew S. Klotunowitch, Mohrsville, Lynnette A. (Klotunowitch) Clinton, wife of Robert, Indian Rocks Beach, FL, Raymond W. Moyer, Jr., Hamburg, Alexander J. Moyer, husband of Barbara, Schuylkill Haven, and Peter J. Klotunowitch, Jr. husband of Jennifer, Costa Rica; and five grandchildren: Amanda, Dylan, Kate, Teresa, and Ryder. He is also survived by his siblings: William Klotunowitch, Glendale, AZ, Dorothy (Klotunowitch) Kuperavage wife of Robert, Port Carbon, and Mary (Klotunowitch) Anderson wife of Ernest, Robesonia; and a sister in law: Deborah Klotunowitch, Minersville . He was predeceased by a brother: Kenneth Klotunowitch.
Services will be held Thursday, March 23, 2017 at 4:00 pm from Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 65 S. 4th Street Hamburg, PA 19526. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family. A viewing will be held from 3:00 to 4:00 pm in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to one of the organizations that Peter was a member of.
