Stanley A. Zettlemoyer, 71, of Shoemakersville, died Sunday, March 26, 2017 in Lehigh Valley Hospital- Cedar Crest.
Born in Kempton, he was the son of the late Benjamin and Eva (Strausser) Zettlemoyer. He graduated from Kutztown High School. Stanley worked for 2 years at Hahn Motors, Hamburg; 6 years at Garden State Tannery, Fleetwood; and last worked in shipping and receiving at East Penn Manufacturing for 40 years until he retired in 2012. He was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan and enjoyed nature. He was lovingly known by his great-nephews as "Uncle Boody."
He is survived by a son: Christopher M. Schadler; a daughter: Tracey L. (Schadler) Clay; three grandchildren: Brianna, Jacob, and Caleb; three brothers: Benjamin, Harold, and Henry Zettlemoyer; and four sisters: Iva Rivera, Eva Bachert, Catherine Koch, and Shirley Ogan. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two sisters: Helen and Marion Zettlemoyer.
Services will be held Thursday at 11:00 am from Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 223 Peach Street Leesport. Burial will follow in St. Luke's Cemetery, Shoemakersville. A viewing will be held Wednesday from 6:00 to 7:30 pm and Thursday 10:00 to 11:00 am in the funeral home.
