Ramona J.  Moore (Sweigart)
Ramona J. Moore, 68, of Muhlenberg Twp., passed away on Saturday, August 5, 2017 in the Wyomissing Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was the wife of Perry P. Moore, Jr. They were married on May 20, 1967 and celebrated fifty years of marriage.
Born in Robesonia, she was the daughter of the late John M. Sweigart and Marie A. (Wartzenluft) Sweigart Brendel; and step-daughter of the late Chester Brendel. Ramona was a 1966 graduate of Conrad Weiser High School. She worked for seventeen years for Tony's Family Restaurant, Robesonia. She was a member of Holy Guardian Angels Roman Catholic Church, Reading. Ramona enjoyed knitting, embroidery, walking, the outdoors and fishing with her husband. She was an avid NASCAR fan and member of the NRA. Ramona also enjoyed Native American motif and always had a dream catcher.
Surviving in addition to her husband are her children: Perry A. Moore, Sr., and his wife Lori, Wernersville; Patrick M. Moore, and his wife Christine, Lebanon; Sandie M. (Moore) Carpenter, Muhlenberg Twp.; and Tracey E. (Moore), wife of Tom Drogus, Brockton, Schuylkill Co.; fourteen grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Ramona is also survived by two brothers: Kermit H. Sweigart, and his wife Joann, Bellaire, Ohio; and John W. Sweigart, Robesonia; and two sisters: Sandra A., widow of Robert Reidenbach, Akron, Pa.; and Clorena A., widow of John Quay, Robesonia.
Services will be held on Friday at 10:00 am from Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 223 Peach Street, Leesport. Burial will follow in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. A viewing will be held in the funeral home Friday 9:00 to 10:00 am. Memorial contributions may be sent to the charity of one's choice.
